Its been an interesting spring with me heading down to Mexico quite a bit on the Funships Ecstasy, and Fantasy.... Over nighting in Progresso,a small,little known port with a six mile pier,

an excellent experience. Gulf-side of the Yucatan,the waters arent as pristine,and clear,but they definatly beat the Jersey Shore or Coney Island. Tourism is the main thing but this place aint full blown and thats whats great..... No Senor Frogs,or Hard Rock,or Carlos n Charlies... no Hilton, no KFC, no McDonalds...... there is a fat poet that will recite it to you for a dollar..... yes IT! he's only written one, he says it over and over..... The ceveche is incredible at Buddies, The Oysters from the Flamingo.... This place feeds you like a king for $25....... not to mention the $3 quarts of cold Sol on the beach or the 2 for $5 margaritas everywhere........ my Spanish is coming along slowly
